Who We Are

Jelly Beans Founder, President, Teacher, Trainer
Wendy Muhlhauser, grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and earned a B.A Degree in Theatre from the University of North Dakota. She was in New York City pursuing her acting dream when an accident changed her direction completely. Emerging with a different sense of responsibility to share her training for the good of her world, Wendy developed and founded Jelly Beans, an education oriented, organization offering creative dramatics classes focusing on emotional growth and critical thinking development, Ann Arbor, MI in 1996. Relocated business to the Twin Cities in 1997, and has been providing educationally-focused programming and training, with the goal to heighten social/emotional growth and critical thinking development in students while teaching literature, science and diversity actively to ages four through high school age as well as to share the ideas through training with teachers and early childhood providers. She developed, taught and offered programming, training and speaking in a wide variety of venues including but not limited to: Hamline, inner city schools, charter schools, elementary and high schools, community ed.departments, parks and rec. departments, community centers, resource & referral networks, special ed. departments, after care programs and conferences in and around the Twin Cities and regionally. She is an Adjunct Faculty Member at Hamline University's Graduate School of Education.

Jelly Beans Teacher
Jennifer Zimmermann received her BA in Elementary Education with a minor in Theatre/Dance from Luther College in Decorah, IA. She earned numerous scholarships while in college including Iowa Scholar. Her student teaching program placed her in Bloomington (kindergarten), a preschool in south Minneapolis, and Creek Valley in Edina (third grade)! After teaching preschool in Eden Prairie, she returned to Creek Valley as a paraprofessional in Special Education. This will be her eighth year at Creek Valley Elementary where she teaches second grade. She earned her Masters of Arts Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of St. Thomas and received a Reading Specialist certificate/Licensure. In her free time, she enjoys singing, acting, dancing, "Stamping'" cards, collecting antique hats, going to movies, theatre events, and concerts, and eating anything chocolate (without nuts, of course!)!! Last year, she performed in an original 1940s radio show at her church's spring dinner theatre production (Wooddale Church), she also played the role of Cinderella's Stepmother in "Into the Woods" at Bethel University. Jennifer began teaching for Jelly Beans last year and already has a wonderful reputation with her Jelly Beans students and their parents!

Dr. Sandra Schley
Sandy served as a college administrator for many years before she and her husband decided to go into business together and run a software company specializing in legal software. She was the recent president of Edina noon Rotary and chairman for the YMCA board. She is governor-elect which is the transition to her serving as District Governor for our District of 5950 in Rotary. Rotary is an international Humanitarian Organization. She was just awarded Senior Volunteer of the year and received the Mayor's special honor as well.

Jelly Beans Teacher & Assistant Teacher
Rosemary Willenbring recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a BS in Theatre Arts Education. Her early theatre experiences were not only at her high school, Robbinsdale Cooper, but with her local community theatre, Off-Broadway Musical Theatre, where she is now on the Board of Directors. She has also been highly involved in MSU's choral groups, and will finish her BM in vocal performance someday in the future. Rosemary has been a Director, Stage Manager, Actress, Producer, Gopher, but the role she has enjoyed the most has been that of teacher. Whether it has been as a Student Teacher at Four Seasons A+ Elementary in Saint Paul, Orono Middle School in Orono or as an intern and teacher with Jelly Beans, her students continue to amaze and teach her about life.

Abbey Schneider
Abbey grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota and has always taken on a lot of responsibility in the family business. Abbey is a junior at the University of Minnesota majoring in Child Psychology. She brings earlychildhood experience from both dance and in the childcare setting. She has a strong understanding and appreciation for children and for the work of Jelly Beans. She has a calm spirit and the creativity that fits perfectly for Jelly Beans teaching.
