Special African animal section added based on an actual Tanzanian Safari Wendy took. We'll spend the week learning about animals and creatures through puppets and creative dramatics. We'll re-create scenes from India where the Tiger hunt Somber, Oceans and the Caribbean Sea where wonderful symbiotic relationships flourish as well as the behavior of Dolphins, Whales and Sea Turtles to name a few. We'll also take on the roles of Warthogs, Leopards and a variety of Dinosaurs. Students learn as they re-create how triceratops protect their young with an interesting technique from the attack of the T-rex and how the egg stealers (Struthiomimus) try to out smart the Maiasaura. Students will learn about predator and prey, habitats and what makes a mammal a mammal. African animals; Lions, Rhinos, Hippos, Zebras, Giraffe, Elephants, Gazelles, will also be explored through dramatics. The African section will prove exciting as I have first hand experience to share and excite my students with that we will re-create together. I'll share pictures of African Animals up close too. Movement and drama are utilized for the purposes of learning, opportunities for interaction and critical thinking.

Jelly Beans African Adventure Camp
Teachers will be sharing about a trip to Tanzania, Africa. Students will be exposed to the culture, what a safari was like and more through pictures, artifacts and drama. The culture and animals will be shared with the active learning technique that incorporates movement and drama for the purposes of learning, opportunities for interaction and critical thinking.
